Lindy ruff calls a timeout up 3 with 11.3

Seconds left in the game. Sends out scott and whatever tough guys he has. Boston does nothing. Lindy Is old school. Talk about sending a message. What a let down I thought Boston would of been pissed.

I think it was because Boston has MacDermid and co. out there. Wanted to make sure he had Scott out there just in case.

Boston put out MacDermid and Buffalo had nobody out there so he just called the timeout to get bodies out there in case Boston was told to do something. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I think that was great .... He and the buffalo sabres made a huge statement tonight. The big bad bruins weren't so bad tonight. Plus it will ad to this growing rivalry...

Ruff got the last laugh tonight!!!

If Thornton is going to be out a while look for the bruins to try and acquire the rights of a big HW . You heard it here first . McGrattan comes to mind first, he has two or three fights if he stays out west and don't forget he was with bruins organization for a year.

Watch Ruff be fined for this..

Shawn Thornton got whooped and the Bruins pissed themselves.

Embarrassing to say the least.

Hamilton's elbow, Bergerons head first toss into the boards, the time out, Scott laughing on the bench...

Just admit it, tonight the Bruins bent over and took it like a prison yard sissy.

I'm glad that this rivalry is back to being exactly that -- a rivalry. Buffalo won this round in both the fighting and scoring categories, but I'll be damned if Boston doesn't come out firing on all cylinders next meeting.

It would help a bit the next time these 2 teams played if Boston's dmen picked up some opposing players in front of their net though... it would probably help them... uhh... win.

It didn't matter what happened this game, you had an agenda all along that you feel the need to justify.

The Bergeron "toss" is a stretch...but I do expect a tougher game out of the Bruins next time around. They have to be pissed about how tonight went.

Now as a Blue Jackets "fan" I would have thought you would take more interest in their entertaining game tonight...but it appears you're dead set on trolling Bruins fans.

The game was certainly disappointing from a Bruins perspective. But let's not act as though the Bruins are some impenetrable armada incapable of being beat on the ice and the scoreboard. They have had a number of disappointing games and poor showings over the years. And it was bound to happen again at some point. It isn't really a big deal. That said, if the Bruins don't respond to this game the next time these two teams play that will truly be sad. Needless to say I don't think that will happen.

Kudos to the Sabres. Everybody will talk about Vanek being the main factor in the victory, and rightfully so. However Scott going out there and beating Thornton early in the game truly set the tone and the Bruins never seemed to have a consistent response after that. That is a perfect example of the game within the game. Something a lot of current hockey fans really don't understand and sadly undervalue. It proved it's importance tonight.

after that fight the Garden never seemed to really get going, even with the 3-1 lead as soon as the Sabers got back within one it seemed quiet. Thats how you set a tone. Scott did it. Bruins need to bounce back, i know that they can. I hate it since I'm not a Bruins fan, but they'll be fine next game. If they dont answer next game with chara asking scott, or just rocking everyone that has the puck i'd be concerned if i were a Bruins fan.

You wanna talk about shoddy defense? Myers and Leopold were horrible. The Bruins abused them.
