IMO, Guy totally lost his composure and hence his credibility in the series against the Flyers.
Boudreau gets the nod here from me.

The Capitals season did a total 180 once Boudreau took over behind the bench. He gets my vote.

I had to vote for Carbonneau here. In my opinion he had a lot to do with molding the best team in the East at the end of the regular season.
Please. I repeat, Please do not vote for Badcock here. If anything, he's bringing down the Red Wings' franchise even further. He's continuing on and contributing to the legacy of pu$$y hockey that has plagued my dear Wings over these many years.

Voted for Bruce because of they way he elevated this team, and Therrien gets passed over again.

who was that guy who took his team from last place with the worst record in team history to the eastern conference finals the following year in spite of having an enormous amount of crippling injuries to key players?
he definitely doesn't deserve any consideration...

Bruce Boudreau in a landslide.
He easily gets my vote and should win this. He did an incredible job turning it around for the Caps. In another thread, somebody said that Boudreau did a complete 180 with that team, and it's true. The Caps were struggling, and Boudreau took over the coaching job and really turned them around... they ended up winning the division after he took over. Bruce did an incredible job. He deserves major props. Great season by the Caps - thanks to Boudreau. He's the coach of the year - no doubt. Babcock was coaching an incredibly talented team, and Carbonneau didn't work the magic like Bruce did, so Boudreau deserves this award. Washington fans have to be very happy with what he did, even if they lost in the first round. They still hadn't made the playoffs in a long time before this season...
