Hockey Question
I just finished watching the Flyers game and there was a delayed call on the Flyers at the end of the game. The Flyers never got control of the puck, so the penalty was never called.
My question is, does the player that had the penalty get "charged" for that call on the stat sheet, or does the penalty just "go away"? |

No it doesn't. It counts like it took place at the 20 minute mark of the period.
EDIT: It also counts as a failed PP attempt for the Isles, and a successful PK for the Flyers.

The penalty only "just goes away" if a goal is scored.

actually it doesn't count as a failed pp or a pk. it would only count if the pp actually was run for a second. since it wasn't given a chance to start, it doesn't count as an official pp or pk attempt.
