Probably my greatest hockey moment ever was watching my boyhood hero Guy Lafleur score the tying goal in game 7 in 1979 after Don Cherry had too many men on the ice. Classic Lafleur goal, down the right side and whipped it past Gilbert(?).
some of the scraps were memorable. I remember Nilan racing down the ice to take on O'Reilly. talk about two tough guys. Miller/Kordic had some classics.

The current model of the Bruins is one I wish for the Habs. Tough players mixed in with a lot of skill.

I don't hate Lucic, I hate his fanboys, and I don't like when he seeks fights against them he knows he's gonna win. A la Bieksa.

I am glad he took on Carkner and Sestito. Honestly, it is good that he stepped up.

I understand he scored 30 goals, however it doesn't give him a "get out of jail" card when he chooses to fight smaller guys. Either he fights everyone (and at his height and weight, plus strength he should) or not fight at all.

It just seems like he has a tendancy to act real tough against smaller opponents and not so brave against guys that are of similiar size as him. I haven't really seen him cheap shot a McGratton type of player, if you understand me.

Seriously, pests have always been. It's not something that's 3 years old.

Lemieux and Linesman were exactly this type of player getting under your skin, always yapping, turtling, getting the opposition out of their game.

Probably going to regret posting in this mess...but...at least it's not a Flyer thread....yet.

If a little guy challenges Lucic and he accepts, good.

Stfu already, this day almost any fight is a good thing.

Understand you loud and clear chief. You hold against Looch things he did a a kid(bgl),not what he is now. Its cool man,i understand,id hate the fvcker also if he didnt don black & gold. It is what is,Looch is 6-3/230,scores 30 goals, can take on your "heavyweight". He wouldnt fare too well against Gratts though,im agraid. B's had Gratts a couple years ago, wish we had him on our 4th line now, with Thorny!

Holy mother of fvck,if Looch played for the Flyers,he'd be hailed as the combination of Dave Brown/ Eric Lidros. Fvck! Philly fans are the worse when it comes to over hyping a player.

Really? I know you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer... But, really? It's pretty much known that I have been a Sabres guy since day 1. Sometimes- like the last few years- that is mainly by location and history if you get my point. 2 years ago I was disgusted with the Sabres style, ownership, mgt etc. in a form of protest I flew a Flyers av, mostly because I had spent the prior season arguing with them. At the time they were known as the biggest homers here. That title has since been snatched by you Bruin dopes- or a few of you anyway. At any rate- if you can't see what was going on there I can't help you. I'll boil it down to the simplest of terms that even you may understand: Are the Oakland Seals your favorite team? An Av means schitt. Get it?

To the guy asking where I went, I was out enjoying my day is all. Knew when I came back it'd be something close enough to this.

This wasn't really a Habs tribute thread as one called it. I was merely just sorta spoofing that Bs homer for constantly posting his videos to show us all how awesome the bruins have been the last few seasons in beating up on players like spacek and such. I thought I'd show some clips to show that he's got it good right now, but who knows when the tide may turn. Turned on us. Although if I may take a subtle shot here, at least the Habs tougher guys generally just beat up on whatever tough guys the Bs would play. Makes it a bit more impressive eh?

By all means, continue whatever it is you think you are doing! You have no clue what I "did". Hell, you don't even have a grasp on what YOU do most of the time! Stick to the drunk thread, it suits you.

See this is what I mean. You can't tell if somebody is a "real" fan over the internet. You were railing on me for allegedly "jumping on the bandwagon", now even you acknowledge that you changed your avatar in protest of "your" team.

Seems hypocritical to me that I'm automatically a bandwagon jumper because of my join date. Yet you change your avatar sporting another team's logo but of course there is a rationalization for that. I don't think your exactly qualified to preach to others on being a crappy fan....over the internet no less where you don't know me personally at all.

You're conveniently forgetting that the "B's homer" only posted those clips in response to your trash talk.

Also, I don't think the Bruins bullying of the Habs just started in 2009 like you have stated. And if you're implying that the Habs had the better up until 2009 you're sorely mistaken. for those clips you posted of Souray going after lesser fighters. There was the infamous McLaren hit which was never addressed and that happened in 2002.

Sorry, but Buffalo and Montreal weren't beating the snot out of Boston when they became one of the toughest teams fairly recently. What changed IMO was Neely and co. took charge and put his fingerprints on the team. Don't fool yourself into thinking that Buffalo and Montreal had Boston's number in the early to mid 2000's because that's far from the truth.

This is one of the most moronic things I've seen on here. So Lucic should change his style to appease you? His physicality is what makes him effective you dope! Why should Lucic have to fight the Scott's and McGrattons's of the world when Shawn Thornton is on the team?

If we're going to be fair, then Emelin shouldn't throw anymore questionable hits since he's not capable of fighting and Subban should cut out the bull**** in his game if he's so valuable. Colby Armstrong runs around and rarely man's up.....so don't expect a "get out of jail card" because the above mentioned players rarely fight or just flat out suck at it. It goes both ways.

The Habs suck!
