some of the scraps were memorable. I remember Nilan racing down the ice to take on O'Reilly. talk about two tough guys. Miller/Kordic had some classics. The current model of the Bruins is one I wish for the Habs. Tough players mixed in with a lot of skill. |

I understand he scored 30 goals, however it doesn't give him a "get out of jail" card when he chooses to fight smaller guys. Either he fights everyone (and at his height and weight, plus strength he should) or not fight at all. It just seems like he has a tendancy to act real tough against smaller opponents and not so brave against guys that are of similiar size as him. I haven't really seen him cheap shot a McGratton type of player, if you understand me. |

Lemieux and Linesman were exactly this type of player getting under your skin, always yapping, turtling, getting the opposition out of their game. |

Probably going to regret posting in this mess...but...at least it's not a Flyer thread....yet.
If a little guy challenges Lucic and he accepts, good. If Lucic challenges a little guy and he accepts, good. Stfu already, this day almost any fight is a good thing.

Really? I know you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer... But, really? It's pretty much known that I have been a Sabres guy since day 1. Sometimes- like the last few years- that is mainly by location and history if you get my point. 2 years ago I was disgusted with the Sabres style, ownership, mgt etc. in a form of protest I flew a Flyers av, mostly because I had spent the prior season arguing with them. At the time they were known as the biggest homers here. That title has since been snatched by you Bruin dopes- or a few of you anyway. At any rate- if you can't see what was going on there I can't help you. I'll boil it down to the simplest of terms that even you may understand: Are the Oakland Seals your favorite team? An Av means schitt. Get it?

To the guy asking where I went, I was out enjoying my day is all. Knew when I came back it'd be something close enough to this.
This wasn't really a Habs tribute thread as one called it. I was merely just sorta spoofing that Bs homer for constantly posting his videos to show us all how awesome the bruins have been the last few seasons in beating up on players like spacek and such. I thought I'd show some clips to show that he's got it good right now, but who knows when the tide may turn. Turned on us. Although if I may take a subtle shot here, at least the Habs tougher guys generally just beat up on whatever tough guys the Bs would play. Makes it a bit more impressive eh? |

Seems hypocritical to me that I'm automatically a bandwagon jumper because of my join date. Yet you change your avatar sporting another team's logo but of course there is a rationalization for that. I don't think your exactly qualified to preach to others on being a crappy fan....over the internet no less where you don't know me personally at all. |

Also, I don't think the Bruins bullying of the Habs just started in 2009 like you have stated. And if you're implying that the Habs had the better up until 2009 you're sorely mistaken. for those clips you posted of Souray going after lesser fighters. There was the infamous McLaren hit which was never addressed and that happened in 2002. Last edited by Boston Garden; 07-08-2012 at 10:13 PM. |

If we're going to be fair, then Emelin shouldn't throw anymore questionable hits since he's not capable of fighting and Subban should cut out the bull**** in his game if he's so valuable. Colby Armstrong runs around and rarely man's up.....so don't expect a "get out of jail card" because the above mentioned players rarely fight or just flat out suck at it. It goes both ways. |
