Goalies just stay in the net?
Seems to be a lot of goalies coughing up the puck lately and they are turning into goals or scoring chances. Most notably is last nights game 1 with Quick blowing the game in OT. Miller had one against the Rangers last week also.
I don't know about you, but I hate when goalies play the puck. Marty B is a heck of a puck handler and I guess would be an exception. I wonder if they got rid of the "trap" behind the net and the goalies had more freedom if that would ease a bit of pressure and they wouldn't make so many mistakes? Or do you think that the defense should be there to help out, like in the Quick goal, both defensemen were no where to be found on that goal? Both the videos below were very important games that the goalies cost them the game. Obviously Quick blew game 1 here and Miller set off an explosion of goals with his poor play in a game the Sabres had to keep playoff hopes alive. http://youtu.be/W_aB1f78Uww http://youtu.be/jH0RCn48lKo Sorry not sure how to get the video to show here instead of the link. Brodeur isn't exactly exempt from it either he's had his fair share of cock ups behind the net
