Don't put too much stock in the Yotes' new ownership. All it means is they are staying in Glendale for the near future, and simply delaying the inevitable.

You're comparing teams that have a rich history and already developed a stable faithful fan base. Thing is, moving the arena to Glendale after the team has only been here for about ten years wasn't the best idea.

And I will admit Arizona fans are 'pussie fans'. There's no doubt about that.

Legitimate questions for you: when you went to the game last weekend, how was the drive from Tempe, and how long did it take? I can breeze over to the arena in 30-40 minutes when I go to work.

I was not at Tempe, I was at my hometown, Ahwatukee, before I went to the game. (My last final was Friday and I checked out of my dorm Friday afternoon). And it takes me 45 minutes to an hour for games.

There you go.

Where are the fans that came out for the playoffs last year? Where are they to build on last seasons success? Even though they did get spanked by the Red Wings. In game 7. At home.

They have a decent team that is playoff material, all world goalie, and Biz taking care of the action for the old school fans.

Fact is there is nothing more than 8-10,000 actual HOCKEY fans there and the rest consist of doctor wanna be fans that show up when they win but are too sissy to drive 30 minutes, wanna be doctor fans who only support the team when they win and a few thousand others every game who are looking for something different to do that night.

Its the same in Miami and Atlanta. Hell even DC had 5,000 per game two years ago. Get rid of this trash already.

Phoenixx sports fan will support a winner. Not sure if this applies to the coyotes in there location. Bring in a good mark Cuban type owner and build a and winner and they may have a solid following. But it will never be a franchise the supports the team unconditionally.

The fact is and it's difficult for let's say someone from Michigan to comprehend. That the SW offers a tremendous lifestyle. There is so much to do here in the winter it's amazing. If your in Michigan, your fat wife is all you have besides a hockey game what are you going to do? Unless of course you plan to gp to Key west for a vacation or have an exciting bachelor party with your friends and a midget.

They will not be successful, period. They could boost draws if they perform well, but it is not a good location to establish a fanbase, the location of the team/arena has obviously been mismanaged, and there is endless evidence (as posted here) as to why the team is a failure. I don't think it is viable to turn the franchise around in the long run.

I love this destination as an opposing fan, and opposing teams like the break from the cold. I wish that they could thrive but the reality is that they can not.
