I think the leader list will look similar to last season with Prust, Thornton, and Rinaldo up at the top with 14-15 fights. Scott maybe finds 3 fights, tops.

I'll go with Shawn Thornton, and I think the total will be 16.

Sorry, but Prust wasn't picked up by the Habs and given a ton of dough to fight... he won't break into the top 5 if not 10

He was 34 last year and tied for the league lead. It's not like he lost any fights badly last year and looked over the hill. Plus he played 81 games last year.

I think your assessment of Thornton is way off, sorry.

I think that it will be some rookie trying to make an impression.
I have no idea what the rookie class looks like, so I can't pinpoint a name just yet.

As high as that number seems, I think this is a possibility.

Maybe 14 of them against John Scott.

Wait, no, the math doesn't add up with the goofy schedule. They will only play Buffalo 3 times and if they fought 3 times each game that's only 9 total.

Dammit.

I think 12 is the max this year. I want to say 22 was the most last year in a 82 game season and with so much emphasis on it being a 48 game season and it being so important to start fast and stay consistent, fighting majors will be way, way down I think since teams want to play "playoff" hockey.

Focking sucks for us fight fans but I think it's true. There will be some action but 22 fights from Parros? I will bet my HOUSE on that not happening. 15 would be a ton for him, I can see him fighting Westgarth 3-4 times, Crombeen will have a go with him maybe once or twice, does Washington have a heavyweight? Those are the division opponents most likely to see action and then he'll have a few odd fights here and there with a total of 12 maybe, at best.
