Name one thing bettyman has done to make the sport better. The jerks been ruining hockey for over 20 years now. I guess you want Fehr to just roll over and give the owners everything they want just like the previous union chief did? Typical american, love the ceos and fat cat owners, hate the people that do the work.

Exactly. And that is the problem. The NHL knows this. They can **** on the fans all they want and yet they always return. Unless that somehow changes nothing will.

I've heard many stereotypes about Americans, but hating workers is a new one to me.

I'll watch the games if they ever come back, I won't go to another game for a looooong time nor will I buy any merchandise. I don't go to NHL.com, won't watch NESN or NHL network.

To those that will inevitably attend the games, do yourself a favor and don't buy any overpriced drinks or food in the arena. Don't give Jacobs and greedy pricks of his ilk $9 for a beer.....go across the street instead.

As so many posters have already said...................

Just like the previous strike, you all came back and bought your season tickets, center ice packages, merchandise, beer and concessions.

Why would this time be any different?

Its like the spouse who continually keeps returning to an abusive relationship.

They watered down the sport with expansion and you came.

They decreased fighting and you came.

They raised ticket, merchandise and concession prices and you came.

The Owners and Players KNOW you'll be back. If not this year then next. This season maybe a wash but they'll patch things up for next season and they KNOW you'll be back with them no matter what you say.

Anytime anything has ever been accomplished, it been done with the leverage of a large group action, but you have to be unified to be successful and clearly you are not.

That is why the NHL will continually abuse you.

By the way, I have paid for NOTHING since the last strike. I loved OLD TIME hockey like no one else and I will not settle for this crap they try to call Hockey!

NO FIGHTS, NO RIVALRIES, NO BODYCHECKING is garbage!

PS: For those of you who are BOYCOTTING, I commend you!

I think to need to pinch teams away from the NHL. There's enough middle ground/bottom feeding teams that would benefit from switching affiliations to a different league; the current financing system disproportionately helps the original six franchises!

You deserve it NHL fans!

NHL fans are like abused spouses who keep returning to their abuser - they deserve what they get. Stop going back and you may see a different result. Until then, expect more of the same every time a CBA expires...

I have no problem doing this and have more than enough self-control to follow through. Before the lockout, the NHL priced out us hardcores and the on-ice product became shameful. There are plenty of minor-league options available and even some EURO leagues are more entertaining.

In my case you are more than likely right, but a dude has got to do something for recreation.

I am going to sneak a flask into the games I go to and save money that way and not give them any extra money I can avoid giving them. No hats, Shirts, Jerseys and other BS.

If in a perfect world you could get enough fans to unite and not go back that would be the way to kick both sides in the nuts. Ain't gonna happen though in large enough numbers because hockey games are still entertainment and most of us that are fans will go back

Then for the final nail in the coffin we hire an assassin to poison the Bruins money humper owner and have the NHL collapse on itself. The AHL will rise to North America's #1 pro hockey league before they bankrupt themselves after 4 years of play.

We are witnessing the slow death of high paid professional hockey.
Their is a big problem with trying to boycott both Montreal and Toronto as they have sold out buildings for years too come , you just cant get tickets to a game in either city unless you inherit them in a will , the two teams are the richest in the league because of corporate investment in season tickets , and fans that have owned their season tickets for generations ..
