Fans should unite to boycott NHL till Bettman resigns

It's clear Bettman is the problem here with 3 lockouts under his regime. Greed and business and money are what Bettman is about, not sport or tradition or respect for the game. I think the best solution to solve the Bettman problem might be for hockey fans to unite and boycott the NHL -- until Bettman resigns.

Empty seats, low TV ratings. Avoid the game until Bettman exits the NHL office. Could it work? I'm all in. How about you? Bettman has done enough damage to the sport. He needs to be stopped.

We only need Hab and Toronto fans boycotting their teams since they are the ones supporting the league moneywise. This would be a much easier task than trying to get 30 fanbases to boycott. The NHL will take a huge hit from just that. Too bad most of their respected fanbases are blinded by jersey fanboyism and will drop buckets of cash into their respected franchises once again.

Then for the final nail in the coffin we hire an assassin to poison the Bruins money humper owner and have the NHL collapse on itself. The AHL will rise to North America's #1 pro hockey league before they bankrupt themselves after 4 years of play.

We are witnessing the slow death of high paid professional hockey.

He's also done a lot to improve the sport. And don't forget the guy across the table...it's what, his 6th work stoppage as a union leader? The blind Bettman hatred only goes so far. The PA aren't victims.

Of course a Penguin fan would stick up for Bettman. If it wasn't for him the 2 year removed best player in the league would of landed on a different team. Mario must suck cock good to get the 05 draft rigged.

Owners and Fehr are just as guilty as the lawyer though for the current lockout.

Here's how I look at it, short and to the point.

-The players get another year older. Vets who fall under the category of this year perhaps being their last season get screwed.

-The fans obviously get screwed as well, die hard hockey fans are probably more effected than they realize. I know I have been because there is nothing on tv worth my attention more than hockey in the winter months.

-Bars are now forced to play re-runs of SportsCenter and basketball, over some puck..probably losing a customer or two here and there.

-Players who have left oversees, have the right idea...but don't you think the owners/pa would not want this to happen?

-This has gone on far to long, the next contract they sign should expire never. Lockouts are pointless and accomplish nothing beneficial, well they do, but...yeah. Unless you're that greedy ol bastige Bettman and his suit and tie friends.

-Hockey is not just a sport it's entertainment, they are synonymous. Put the product back on and everything will be fine.

-Why did they wait last minute to try and formulate a new CBA. They should have been trying to work a new one out a year or two ago.

-While Bettman is so busy being a frugal pile of crap, arenas, cities, broadcast companies, sponsers..the list goes on are losing money/making no money.

-How does Bettman sleep at night?

In conclusion, this whole lockout bs has gone on long enough, they've met what seems like over 30 times and still nothing. Get this **** done already. I want to talk some **** to some Flyers and Habs fans already..

Yes, all hail Sir Bettman for his great treatment of the Pens.

I don't like the guy, either, believe me. But there's two dogs in this fight, and people forget that. And the other dog is arguably worse.

That wasn't short

It's all a bunch of garbage. I don't even pay attention to the "updates" on negotiations anymore, nor have an opinion on who is right and who is wrong. My interest level dipped to 0 in September and I will just follow the AHL from now on. I'm not even upset about the lockout at this point.

I don;t think he was sticking up for him and he was not blaming him. There are two sides to this, and at first the players had th fans on their side. I would say that is not the situation now.

I take in three-four hockey games a week , the amount of PPL that are still wearing the Montreal Canadians and Toronto Maple Leaf Jerseys and hats and jackets is enough to make one throw up !!

The fans of both these teams will support then come hell or high water , I am a Bruin,s fan , I refuse to wear anything too do with the NHL or the Bruins as long as this lockout continues , my "BROTHER" on the other hand is a Leaf's fan , he goes to a lot of games with me , he always wears something with the Leafs logo on it , In fact he thinks I am nuts because I refuse to wear any of my Boston caps or leather jackets that I own .

Not wearing or buying any "T"s , Caps , Jerseys , Jackets , anything to do with any team in the NHL is one way of boycotting the NHL .
I know this will fall on deaf ears when it comes to the Canadians and Leaf fans , they just cant see they are still supporting the NHL during this lockout by wearing their prized jerseys caps or jackets to junior games .
I know some will think it just doesn't amount to a can of beans not to buy anything from the NHL teams stores , and it will only hurt the sports stores owners , but for every cap , jersey , jacket you buy you are putting money in the pockets of the owners .

THINK ABOUT IT THE NEXT TIME YOU BUY THAT X-MAS GIFT FOR YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER THAT HAS AN NHL LOGO ON IT , YOU ARE SUPPORTING THE NHL AND THIS LOCKOUT !!!!!!!!!!!
