Get a clue.
i don't know who you are referring to specifically, but since i posted about the code in this thread i will assume i am one of them?

from your post it looks like you are pissy because you are drawing a paralell between the code and rinaldo/crombeen. for the record, those shots weren't a big deal. were they borderline late? sure, but it was the heat of the moment. dry your tears.

the point is that there are actually unwritten rules between fighters. they aren't 100% followed all the time, buty that doesn't mean they don't exist.

get a clue.

Code schmode... Funny, I don't remember anything about a "code" from the 70's and 80's fighters.. Those guys knew their job and did it well. This must be a 90/2000's thing..

If 2 guys are willing to throw down the mits and go at it, anything can happen.

What's next, crying about someone getting their helmet knocked off and saying they are at a disadvantage?

Again, Rinaldo didn't do this:

I love how the game thread in YSTB gets locked so all the hissy fitting gets started in a new thread(with the same basis) in a new forum...very creative.

is there alot of hissy fitting in this thread? seems like most of the people who posted in here are fine w/ what rinaldo and vinny did. the people who got the YSTB thread locked arent ruining this thread.

Just stop.

For the record, I wish they were intentional. Message sending like that is so rare these days. Crombeen f*cked with Giroux and Rinaldo was well within his rights to make a statement. If this was Probert it wouldn't even be an issue.
Yeah, I'm sure Rinaldo wasn't aware that he had a Mic on either right? Is it possible he said that to look better in the public eye? Rinaldo knows that his conversation is going to be aired, did you expect him to say something else?

As a player you're responsible for your actions, Rinaldo has eyes...if we can see Crombeen was out before the extra punches...Rinaldo can too.

Just embrace Rinaldo going over the top, and stop making excuses for him if it's not such a big deal.

Just curious when Lucic did worse to Brown, was that a violation of the "code"?

Let's see if your fair about this...

No you're right, you know Rinaldo's thoughts better than he does, clearly it's all just an act so new NHL fans won't get upset with him and whine on a message board.

You aren't that smart are you?
You sure are sensitive.

Rinaldo who is already under the microscope with the NHL, wasn't going to say anything out of the ordinary to draw more attention to himself. Have you ever noticed that when players are posed with a question post game about a questionable incident, it's almost always a calculated stock answer to put the issue to bed? Perhaps it was genuine, but why would he acknowledge he beat down on an injured player? Nothing good can come of that.

Lucic did the same thing to Brown, I don't buy into that he was clueless as to what was going on either. It's really not a big deal, I just find it amusing that sensitive Flyer fans such as yourself can't entertain the possibility that Rinaldo knew what he was doing. There's no shame in crossing the line.

That said, I'm done discussing this. You'll surely have a snark retort, that your Flyer brethren will hop on board with...The last word is yours.

Is there any? I'd say yes. Point is the other thread got locked for a reason. This just circumvents that reason. Let the thing die.
