ESPN's 2010-2011 All-Underated Team

So, the window-lickers at ESPN, in all of their infinite hockey wisdom, have compliled a list of what they believe to be the most Underated and Overated players in the NHL today. I tend to abstain from lists, as they are usually pure subjective opinion and have little to no merit, but I thought this would make for some interesting discussion.

Here are the "teams"

Most Underated Team

Forwards: Patrick Sharp - Chicago Blackhawks
Brooks Laich - Washington Capitals
Ryane Clowe - San Jose Sharks

HM: Mikko Koivu, Jamie Langenbrunner, Chad LaRose

Defense: Stephane Robidas * - Dallas Stars
Mark Giordano - Calgary Flames

HM: Kimmo Timonen, Hal GIll

Goaltender: Craig Anderson - Colorado Avalanche

HM: Ty Conklin

Most Overated Team

Forwards: Alexei Kovalev - Ottawa Senators
Martin Havlat - Minnesota Wild
Olli Jokinen - Calgary FLames

HM: Alexander Semin, Scott Gomez, Joffrey Lupul

Defense: Jay Bouwmeester - Calgary Flames
Bryan McCabe - Florida Panthers

HM: Brian Campbell, Sheldon Souray

Goaltender: Rick DiPietro - New York Islanders

HM: Roberto Luongo

A few Comments: As a casual Flames fan, I don't get the Giordano pick, as I absolutely loathe the guy and cringe everytime he touches the puck. I think he is soft on what has tradionally a pretty tough team, and I just don't see much worth in him, same goes for JayBo. And Jokinen is just that, a Joke. Not sure why Calgary went out and got him when it didn't exactly work the first time around. As a Minny guy, I am happy to see Koivu at least get a HM, but I really think that Greg Zanon deserves an HM, if not a spot on the list above that puke Giordano. I aslo can argue against Havlat as overated, as he certainly isn't the Gabby replacement that most expected. I would aslo throw Shea Weber out there as most underated.

List seems prett accurate but you cant deny Havlat or Semin's skill. Giordano is a bit of a mystery. Sometimes he looks great, other times meh. I dont know some of the names listed i would agree with, not sure how Patrick Sharp made that team. I dont think he is underrated.

I wouldn't say Havnot is overrated. but list seems legit. Take Sharp off underrated(not saying he is overrated). Clowe on there is pretty cool.

I liked that list, Clowe is good name and very good thing that Mikko Koivu gets a HM.
Kovalev and O.Jokinen are most overrated players in the planet.
