Does the shortened season give any team an advantage?

Do you think any team will be at an advantage or disadvantage playing a 48-50 game season.

It's a sprint till the end. Whoever stays healthy has the edge. See alot of injuries coming.

This just makes him more old school. 30 years ago, everyone showed up to camp looking like they spent all summer barbecuing. Give him some time and he'll be back to dropping Habs like flies in a couple weeks.

I think a shortened season can be an advantage for the bad teams.
Normally that teams don't play too bad at the beginning of the year and often just can't keep it up for the whole season. With only 48 games with a good start and a winning stretch they can eventually compete for the playoffs.

As for the question, I could see any team that gets off to a hot start making the playoffs. Even a team like Columbus.

A good or bad streak could be enough to see you into or put of the playoffs.

Is there going to be any pre season games r is it going straight into the regular season ?

want it or not lucic is one of the bruins top scorers so him being out of shape is an avantage for other teams especially teams in the northeast division that fear lucic's ability to score and beat up guys...

As far as I know, it will go right into regular season. I just don't see them having any time for preseason games.

that still doesn't mean anything towards the thread question...lucic can get into decent enough shape before the season to where it won't effect the team or any other team, which then in turn makes your twitter post affectingly irrelevant.

I think the obvious ones have been pointed out. The teams that can stay healthy will fair better, and also the teams that can get in sync early will do better as well. Streaking...wins or losses will have much more of an impact.

The younger teams in my opinion. Guys in there early 30's that lost 100+ games of NHL calibre hockey will have a slow start, and by the time it starts now its almost over.

I also predict a retarded trade or two,
