Does the shortened season give any team an advantage?
Do you think any team will be at an advantage or disadvantage playing a 48-50 game season.
|
It's a sprint till the end. Whoever stays healthy has the edge. See alot of injuries coming.
|
Idc if the Avs win or lose games im just happy to be able to watch them play again, looking forward to a season even if it is shortened

i dont know about teams but for milan lucic the lockout has been really bad. called out-of hockey shape by the boston journalist

I think a shortened season can be an advantage for the bad teams.
Normally that teams don't play too bad at the beginning of the year and often just can't keep it up for the whole season. With only 48 games with a good start and a winning stretch they can eventually compete for the playoffs. |
since when did milan lucic being out of shape fit into a team having an advantage or not?
|
As for the question, I could see any team that gets off to a hot start making the playoffs. Even a team like Columbus.
|
A good or bad streak could be enough to see you into or put of the playoffs.
Is there going to be any pre season games r is it going straight into the regular season ? |
no preseason games it seems currently

I think the obvious ones have been pointed out. The teams that can stay healthy will fair better, and also the teams that can get in sync early will do better as well. Streaking...wins or losses will have much more of an impact.
|
The younger teams in my opinion. Guys in there early 30's that lost 100+ games of NHL calibre hockey will have a slow start, and by the time it starts now its almost over.
I also predict a retarded trade or two, |
