What did you see? As far as I'm aware, Danny Briere isn't going to play because he has a fractured wrist. In fact, he may be placed on injured reserve. Even if he isn't, Laughton may be sent back to juniors after five games, opening up Sestito's spot anyway. For tomorrow, I believe the lineup will look something like this:

Hartnell - Giroux - Schenn
Simmonds - Laughton - Read
Voracek - Couturier - Fedotenko
Sestito - Talbot - Rinaldo

Neal is definitely a marked man either way. Some people have made comments about there being less fighting in a shortened season. MAYBE overall, but it doesn't make a difference for this game tomorrow. You don't think the players are going to be jacked up? You don't think they remember who James Neal is? I just don't see tomorrow's game being a lackluster affair.

Seriously FUKK Eric Wellwood. He is completely useless. There is not one thing he can do that someone else can't do better. I'll be disappointed if he gets the nod over Sestito, especially since the vibe during the offseason and even this week was that Sestito pretty much had a roster spot locked up.

having a roster spot and playing during the game are 2 different things. both shelley and sestito have roster spots, neither will play tomorrow. the best we can hope for is glass v simmonds. neal might fight someone like coburn.

I wanna see Giroux and Crosby go at it as much as the next guy, and Neal to have a dance, but a 48-game schedule just places too much importance on each game. I realize I play devils advocate a lot here, but trying to be realistic, there's a much higher premium on getting the two points now than in a regular 82-game season. Teams aren't gonna want their big guns getting hurt in a fight.

Especially Philly...don't wanna hurt Giroux's limp wrists any more than they already are.

good idea by schenn, asham would kill him. fighting star players seems to be his MO, he got kovulchuck to drop his gloves, but kovy dropped him w/ a huge punch. schenn v neal would probably be a fair fight so lets hope for it.
