Ok.. who voted for the kings on the poll after the series was over? It was 31 to 31 until the game ended.

As good as? I would take Quick over Smith any day of the week. Smith is having a great year, but has been nothing special before this year. Quick has been a great goalie since coming into the league and is 4 years younger.

i had 4 things to enjoy in the playoffs; the Hawks (gone), hoping the 'Nucks would get eliminated (already done), hoping the Wings would get eliminated (ditto) and hoping the Blues would get eliminated (done).

**** me, what am i going to do now?

Kings are appearing to be a team of destiny this year. Their forecheck is just amazing right now, and the fact they don't surrender the blue line is giving teams fits.

The biggest key to their success, IMO, isn't even Jonathon Quick, its the fact the defenseman are outlet'ing the puck nearly perfect every single time. It's D to D and up. There is no time wasted, no pucks in skates, and no pucks moving backwards. They aren't allowing any team the time to forecheck their defenseman, and it's not creating turnovers - which are what teams feast on in the playoffs. It's a perfectly simple game plan, and the Kings are executing it to perfection.

Quick has made some amazing saves along the way, and is without question their best player... but how ****ing good has Dustin Brown been this post season? He has become the picture perfect definition of leading by example.

I will be the first to admit I voted for the Blues but down deep I wished for the Kings to win , guess I got my wish .

Never In my wildest dreams did I figure the Kings would bounce the two top teams in the west in 9 games , just goes to show us just how surprising the playoffs can be ..

I thought the Blues would take this series. Wow,didnt even win a game!!! Congrats L.A.,the Kings appear to be the team to beat. If the Yotes hang on,should be a hell of a series, based on the last couple regular season games between the two.
