King's hit wasn't malicious by any stretch of the imagination but with the game in hand he could've cooled things off by fighting Crombeen. Now there is carry over and the Blues HEAVILYYYYY out weigh the Kings in the tough business. If the Blues decide to get nasty they're gonna cream some Kings players.

But other than being a worry wart about that, the Kings looked good and I'm a happy camper.

This series will almost be as good as the Flyers-Penguins, if not just as good. I'll take Los Angeles in 7, but I really really like both of these teams.

NHL Runs and Hides

The NHL's explanation of the hit on Pietrangelo by King was typical Run and hide answer. The GMs and owners need to put Betman, Campbell and Shanahan on notice, clean up your officials or your voted out. Replays also showed that LA's second goal would not have ocurred if the officials had called the trip on the face off. Go back and look, there's no doubt. Some of these older officials just don't have it anymore and don't deserve to do these final games.

Well its a fast game out there, and they dont have slow mo replays and such like at home. It usually all evens out in the end.

It was disappointing to see King turn Crombeen down. I hope he at least plans on fighting him at some point in this series as he should.

Kings hit on Petro was on par with Chris Stewart's hit on Kronwall except Stewart got suspended and Kronwall wasn't hurt. Somebody will get him if the NHL don't........

I think it's a matter of surviving the first 10mins again for the Kings, then lock down "their" game. Blues will be much more physical this game too, so the Kings will have to hit right back. Might be the hardest checking game of the playoffs. Cannot wait!

I Agree Nick.. The Kings or should I say Quick (he will stand on his head and keep them in it until they wake up), needs to get through the first 10 mins and then play their game.

If The Kings can continue to implement their game plan, they will be fine. The Blues have to try and adjust theirs. That's what this series will come down to.

I don't know why, but it's still kinda bugging me that King didn't drop em'. He could have gotten it all over with, it wouldn't cost him any ice time in that game or the next and its all done with. If any of our key players get hurt, I will defecate on Kings face at the next players signing.

First scrap of the series and I'm going with King in that one, he did better than I thought he would.
