I am just curious as to why you believe this could be a sweep? I have watched all the games during the year. Games with Crosby in and Crosby out. Games where Bryz played, games with Bob played. Games at the Console Energy Center and Wells Fargo center and not one thing would lead any sane member of society to believe this series will be a sweep.
Please enlighten us all!

Flyers were my favorite team until the Lightning formed so I'm allowed to root for the Flyers since the Frightning failed to get in. It's also so incredibly easy to root against the Pittsburgh Crosby's. I'm just deathly afraid of how the zebras are going to handle this series. You know Buttman gave them a call and told them to "keep a lid on it", this after being on Morning Joe today actually somewhat promoting fighting saying the players need to do it, it's a competitive game or some BS like that. Both clubs have the potential to make this a literally hard fought series and I hope they keep the sticks and elbows down cuz the officials will be watching like hawks. Philly can win if the penalties are called evenly and they aren't too jacked up and are disciplined.

Funny that all you Flyer fans are lining up your excuses now as to why the Penguins will win this series. The refs, Bettman conspiracy, Crosby whining, etc.. Here's a wild idea - the better team ALWAYS wins a 7 game series. No excuses. |

Look, I like you as a poster. In fact, I like almost all of the Penguins posters on here. Almost all of what is said between us is in jest and that's good. But that being said, and in all seriousness, surely you understand why most people here find the reactions of some of the Pens fans on here to be comical. As you alluded to in this post, I posted two videos of Malkin going for head shots on an elite NHL player who has concussion issues. Both times right in front of a ref, and nothing is called. Meanwhile, Zac Rinaldo breathes on Sidney Crosby and he's tossed. It's bullsh*t, and there's no way you or anyone else can dispute it. It's a double standard, and literally everyone in the hockey world sees it besides (most) Pens fans. It's fine that you're admitting that Malkin is a dirty player, but how much credit can you possibly get for that considering that if you put it to a poll he'd probably be named the dirtiest player in the entire league this season? What I'd give you credit for is if you were to say that it seems a little fishy that a guy who is probably seen by most as being the dirtiest player in the league this season only has 70 PIM in 75 games. |

Again, Malkin isn't afraid to get dirty. Refereeing has sucked in this league for a long time. If you want to frame that as some sort of conspiracy, be my guest. There's a difference between crappy reffing and some sort of fix. There's plenty of teams in the league with history and prestige that the NHL would be happy to see win the Cup, and Philly's one of them. |

I think the Pens win this series in 6. I just don't think the Flyers will be able to deal with Malkin, Crosby, and Staal over the long haul of a 7 game series. A series like this is where Pronger could have been the deciding factor. Fleury is a proven playoff performer and a Stanley cup champion. The Pens have 12 players from 09 when they won the cup. They know how to win, and with everyone healthy they will be tough for anyone to beat. Not saying Philly can't win this series, I just don't think they will. The winner of this series will be representing the east in the Stanley Cup Finals this year IMO.

I like the irony of Flyers fan's being "cryers" and such. In no way am I a homer, but of the many times my Rangers have played them, they do the opposite of crying. The Flyers have possibly the best fanbase on earth, and any team would love to have that behind them, obviously other teams are jelous of that and call them "cryers". The Flyers have had dominance over the Penguins this year, hopefully with the injuries that they have sustained from the Penguins needless hits it will not effect them.Truthfully the score this season should be 5-1 because that last game was absolutely meaningless given that all the positions were locked in.
Usually whatever I predict is the opposite, so I'm going with Pens in 6. |

I don't think mike means the refs are literally told "hey call everything for the way of pitt"...what he means is that the refs see cindy or the retard get touched or in a scrum 9/10 times they give them the benefit of the doubt cause they're good players and viewed as that by the NHL not scummy bitches
Oh and I dont want this, but Pens in 6 Last edited by SyrCrunch11; 04-10-2012 at 05:24 PM. |
