All these penalties are lame...BUT...at least Detroit's vag play is finally being enforced by the zebras.

Weber put Zetterberg down in the corner as the horn went, pretty much. Didn't see what he did but Zetterberg was slow getting up

Dumb move by Weber at the end of the game.

How nice of Weber to smack Zetterberg's head into the glass for good measure

Strader & Engblom sound like dopes thinking he might be suspended for it...as it wasn't that bad.

Yep, you can't preach concussion this and that, then let that fly. trhen again, Weber is a superstar, and you know they treat them differently.

Two minutes for roughing at best. Anything more is a disgrace.

I'm a fan of the rough stuff and couldn't care less if there is or isn't a suspension, but taking a free hand and slamming a guys head into the boards is stupid and will bring more discipline. It was the first thing they talked about after the game so you know Shanahan will be taking a look.

Since all four of the CNBC guys think he should be suspended...and it was against a Red Wing, then you are probably right.

I'd be shocked if he got anything more than one game. What is really pathetic about this is the fact nobody on Detroit tried to do anything about it (not that anybody on the Wings could, but still).

TSN GAME RECAP

Quote:
The action didn't end with the final horn and could result in league punishment. Nashville captain Shea Weber pounded Zetterberg's head into the glass, and Weber said Zetterberg hit him first from behind. Weber said the series is a battle with both teams wanting to win and not back down.

Trotz backed up his captain and noted Detroit right wing Todd Bertuzzi had a "big-time haymaker" on Gaustad after that.

"I just think Zetterberg was getting tired at the end," Trotz said. "He knew Webs was there and the game was over."

Watched quite a bit of this game and the bodies were flying on both sides. Looks like this is going to be a good one.
