NOOOOOO! Thornton would end Chimera's life.

Bruins in 6

As I envision this matchup, I see the Bruins as the powerhouse. But I also see the Caps creating some sort of surprising run to win the series. I recall the shootout against Boston a few weeks back and feel as though maybe that has given them more willpower to win against them.
Caps in 7

My friend was right behind the net in that game and he said the Bruins were the better team that night, but that being said OV can go off at anytime like 8 goals in 5 games. He will be pumped in the first game after that depending how he does tonite we will see, there is the saying the first game does not mean much but this one does.

Very true there is always one series and i am thinking the same, I hope not but would not surprise me.

OK, pump time. Bruno's going down good. Lets just hope the Bruins do good, I am a fan of the Bruins but have a bad feeling about this one.

As I'm watching this game it really seems the Bruins are giving about just as much effort as the Caps.

You need to generate more offense than 17 shots on goal to win in the playoffs.

Not to mention 7, yes 7, shots on goal in the first two periods. Not good enough

Outcome in the win-loss column obviously not desirable, but really, what a perfect game for the Caps coming into garden.

Their defense was just as stifling as the B's which was a shocker. Dale did a smart job benching Orlov and adding some size and experience in Shultz and Hunter needs credit on his game planning for this game.

Casual fans might be bored of this type of game but for the hardcore guys this was really a fascinating goal-tender duel which is not necessarily something that people expected to develop this early on.

Oh really did they, You are a tool. The Bruins outplayed them big time and trust me as a Bruin fan going into OT this was a game that the Caps could have won, but bottom line did not

Bruins controlled the play for almost the entire first two periods of the game. the 3rd was even with the capitals really getting into a rythem early on. very physical game. some nice hits. the collision between seidenberg and OV was a dandy. love the outcome but the caps played good "D" throughout and the bruins didn't get a lot of clean chances. very good game and hopefully we see this throughout the series.

I will tell you what when the B's broke out it was 2 on 3 every time, so they are playing the right way for sure. But as a Bruin fan i am hoping what they usually do score 1 then 5. Or i hope.

Very sound defense all-around tonight. Neither team was able to create a lot of quality scoring chances.
Certainly didn't expect Washington's defensemen to be as good as they were tonight.

Tight, physical game.

Here's to the Caps' floodgates opening in Game 2.
