As a lifelong Caps fan, I looked at this series as one that they'd have a heck of a time winning, considering it's the defending champs, and they were a 7 playing a 2.

Obviously I'm very happy to see them win, and I harken back to 1990, the first time the Caps ever got out of the 2nd round, only to get swept by the Bruins in the Eastern finals.

They finally got their revenge.

That was just a retard comment.
Anyway... Boston just doesn't have the firepower. With Horton out
he was sorely missed for his grit and hard nosed play. Why the fock
did Julien scratch Thornton? At least Thorts plays with heart and
passion and could have lit some kind of fire with the other guys.
Caps came to play every night and Holtby looked solid overall.
Congrats to them.

Congrats to the Caps and their fans. They played a great series...that's pretty much it.

Go Rangers.

The year of the upset continues...painful series to watch and lose as a B's fan, but not surprising.

Bruin fans have nothing to hang their head about. The run to the cup is just way too long. Look at Vancouver.

I was hoping for the same, but that's out the window now. Very disappointed with the potential 2nd round matchups. My only hope is maybe Phi-NJ and somehow NYR-PHI in the EC finals...

Congrats Caps fans....they deserved it. It's very disappointing but the Bruins were going to run out of gas at some point. They looked gassed all series IMO.

And to the Habs,Canucks and Flyers fans trolling this thread. Just remember you haven't won anything yet...and what goes around comes around.
