Torts is a good coach and has pushed this Ranger team to the limit all year hence the good record.
They have played playoff hockey all year. Can they turn it up a notch like a lot of elite teams do? I think not.
The wild card of course is Lunqvist. He's unproven in the playoffs in fact he's a lot like Bryz, he has choked in the playoffs.
But I think he will turn the corner and carry this team. Not to the finals but it will be great hockey.
Rangers over the Sens in 6.

I think this series will be closer than people are predicting. I'll take the Rangers in 7, in what could be the most physical of all first round series...

I think this one is going to be an upset !!

Reason , Lundqvist has a history of folding when the chips are down , I see no difference as to why all of a sudden he is the great saviour of the Rags , he will fold like an old card table as usual ..

This is where the big upset will happen.

Ottawa in 7, maybe even 6.

Rangers need to do 2 things and have Hank play solid.

They need to win faceoffs and the PP must improve!

If they win draws, their PP gets up around 19-20% and Lundqvist is consistent, they will win!

Everyone seems to be thinking the Sens are going to stop the Rangers in their tracks. There is a reason they fell in the standings and they will be just happy to be there.

To me the Rangers are set to at worst get to the Eastern Conference Finals. They have everything and no longer need to use king Henrik as their only out. They have all sorts of scoring, depth, and a good enough D. Plus Torts.

Rangers in 6.

I like the Rags in 5 in this one.Everyone thinks that the Pens/Flyers has the potential to get out of hand. But this series is right up there with all the tough guys that are on both of these teams. But goaltending will defintely be the major deciding factor in this one...

Rangers in five. I like the Senators but I don't see them having a chance here.

Ok

I don't see how anyone with hockey knowledge will be able to call this for the Sens and say yeah I predicted that. This would be a major upset. I see Karlsson disappearing and Anderson stealing one, maybe two for the sens. Rags have to much D going for them. With their Dmen and all the forwards that come back, Hank wont need to be spectacular in this series but will need to be real good. Ottawa is a tough team but lacking in all the wrong areas to go anywhere. No one to stop the Gabby/Richards line and to much Torts equals Rags in 6

Sens in 6. Prust will be tuned up by Neil at least once for a questionable hit/slewfoot on a Sen this series.

It's funny, I see all kinds of posts for Ottawa and yet the poll has the Rangers at 43 to 7 in favor?
