Why you are so worried about the Devils not playing physical? Your not even a fan. You can be happy about your team if they did and are now in holiday. The thing that worries me is that it is a copycat league. If the Devils win it may mean a few more teams in the league that decide hitting and scrapping are not important.

Obviously being more physical doesn't mean you will become champ. I have already said I know the Devils couldn't break up that fourth line, I said that I don't expect Devil fans to care much about this while going to the cup, and I said I am not looking for bench clearing brawls. But that doesn't mean I can't care about it. I really don't like a team that throws 11 body checks in a home playoff game. I would be fine leaving it at that but there are a few sensitive Devil fans that either attack me for saying the truth or deny the obvious truth alltogether. You are not one of them, though you do use the word "God" a little haphazardly, so congrats.

Agreed. Truth is i dont like it either.
Todays hockey is too much business and that kills the motion. They try to win and focusing just that. Honor is not so important anymore. One thing i hate too is shaking after fights...i would like to see same hate and rivalries, but now everybody are friends and doing it just because of the show.( Obviously not all the time, but too much.)

My point was proven! The Devils are averaging 2.83 goals for in this playoffs and yet against Lundqvist only scored 2.17 goals a game!
Coming into the Rangers series, the Devils scored 36 goals in 12 games and yet against Lundqvist only scored 13 in 6 games!
That is WAY UNDER THEIR AVERAGE!

The Rangers scored 29 goals in 14 games in their first two series with 4 OT games; one which went 3 overtimes!
They scored the same amount against the Devils as against the Senators and Capitals so as any intelligent fan knows, the Rangers were defeated from a lack of goal scoring and not from any special play from Brodeur!

As I wrote, any intelligent fan knows that the Rangers lack of scoring is why they aren't in the Cup finals!

Pathetic! maybe the worst dive in playoff history, but typical for a soft team loaded up with tons of euros on their roster. Devils homers will saying what a great play by bernier to get a PP, just like they defend the "turn the cheek" and "run to bench" after every whistle style their coach tells them to play. Disgusting what is happening to a once manly sport.

Fixed the top part. Sadly its a league wide problem. Funny how the commentators talk very little about it, whereas a "questionable" hit is analyzed to death. This diving needs to be addressed because next year it will be 10 times worse.

I say take the extra 20 seconds to review a replay after a call like this and if a dive is found you penalize that player only.
