Wow, how long did it take you guys to come up with those two replies. Wait a minute. Seeing who it was, probably quite a while. Anyways, whats the point of burning your stuff? It's not costing them any money, you've already paid for it. In fact they will just be getting more money from you in the future when you change your mind and want new gear. The NHL probably smiles when they see stuff like this.

Bettman, Fehr, and the rest of these clowns have nothing to do with my jersey. My Isles jersey means more to me than the last few weeks. I've been a fan way before I ever heard of any of these people, including Chuck Wang.

Exactly. The NHL already has your money. Burning the jersey means you've lost that money, plus the actual jersey you spent the money on. If you wanna get rid of it, sell it on eBay or something.

Whether or not he's already paid for the jersey isn't the point. It's obviously a gesture of giving up his fandom, which hurts the NHL in the long run when he stops going to games and buying merch.
