Bruins to unveil new uniform on 6/21

The Bruins will reveal their new uniforms on June 21st. The team was nice enough to invite me to the unveiling ceremony (”We know your views on hockey uniforms are well read and respected,” read the e-mail I received yesterday), but shlepping up to Boston on my own dime just so I can scarf some free hors d’oeuvres and take some photos that won’t be as good as the ones taken by the professional shutterbugs in attendance isn’t really my idea of a good time.

This better be a Rebok version of the spoked B. I don't want to see anything else on the Bruin's chest.

Why a new uniform? They simply should go back to the old uniforms when Neely was playing late 80's early 90's. I really hope they don't plan surprisingly new-looking uniforms.

I have a feeling it's going to look bad. Just stick with the spoked 'B' and the black and gold. Anything else would be idiotic.

To answer your question about "why a new uniform?" every team is getting new uniforms. The entire NHL will have a new, form-fitting style of jerseys.

I'm excited to see all of the team's new looks. I like the Bruins current yellow jersey with the Bear in the middle, so hopefully they stick to that style.

The Bruins jersey might be the first one unveiled out of the entire NHL, so I'm excited about it because it will give us an idea of how all the other jerseys will look.

Yeah I knew that about the new uniforms, but I meant the logo and the colours. I think the current Bruins yersey's are great and actually I strongly disagree with you about the 3rd yersey with the Bear in the middle. That yersey sucks.

The got rid of those jersey's before last year, They are no longer current.

I agree as well. Leave the frills to the expansion teams that need/looking for fans to attract revenue.

There is a lot of things wrong with Boston... But the jersey sure as hell isn't one of them. It needs to stay the same.
