I know a lot of PPL think of Brett Hull as an A/Hole , that is the farthest from the truth then you may know , have met him on several ocasions , has bin one of the nicest guys anyone ever talked to , will listen to your opinion , but you had better be prepared to listen to his also , he will not go into i fit if you disagree with him , all you have to do is explain why you do , he is well mannered and reapectful to all he meets , has a big time hate for Bettman ...

I don't know why people think he's an A-hole. He likes the type of hockey we all like and likes enforcers. I've only seen him be an A-hole to Pierre MacGuire and he deserves it. Hull doesn't also like Bettman so that makes him far from an A-hole.

I met him once in St. Louis, and watched him play many years there. He was undoubtedly an incredible goal scorer, but that was about it. btw, he did get in 1 fight that I can remember.. I can't find it online anywhere though.

The one time I met him at a bar in St. Louis with Kelly Chase.. he was friendly, but I didn't harass him and really make the effort to chat much.

He does seem to have a cocky side to him, especially with the media... since he retired.. but while he played in STL.. he seemed to have a good reputation.

I rain into Kelly Chase at a bar in STL after he got traded away from the blues.. he LOVED STL and prayed he'd get to come back, which he did a couple years later. What a nice, fun guy.. I talked to him for a good part of the night.. and we had some great laughs and stories.

Didn't he once tell a reporter the most satisfying part of playing pro hockey was the paychecks? I'd expect that from a Russian but not from a North American player...
