I just assume Sanderson was sh1t faced when he called games because there is no possible way he could be seeing the same thing we were. Sanderson makes me want to puke, it's so bad it's almost funny.

Edwards is a "smarmy used car salesman", I've never heard it better put than that.

I don't excuse any of it, commentators should be objective and informative, not opinionated morons who don't even have the right information and that should have actual hockey knowledge not taken from a cue card. Edwards is the aboslute worst, I have to blame much of Sanderson's retardedness on drugs and booze.

Sanderson was a homer, but like others have said, he owes his entire life to the Bruins, so it's excusable.

Jack Edwards, on the other hand, is absolutely crazy. He's the type of guy I would hate with the fire of a thousand suns if he wasn't calling Bruins games. However, even though he's terrible at play-by-play and gets overly excited about everything, I love listening to him call games simply because it's hilarious how shamelessly bad he is. It's added entertainment.

Sanderson was awesome. He was over the top, but that's what made him great. I also enjoyed when he'd openly bash his NESN broadcast partner Dave Shea on air...simply because he disliked him.

Edwards is very entertaining as well. He's had some great homer calls over the past few seasons...like when he called Pouliot a chump. He makes Bruins broadcasts more fun to watch. He and Brickley work well together. I mean what's better...Dale Arnold and Gord Kluzak? Listening to those idiots call a game was excruciating. Arnold is a cornball and Kluzak has the personality of a tree stump.

All announcers are homers to varying degrees for the teams they broadcast for. The big reason why I can't stand Edwards is that the man does'nt know sh*t about what he's talking about. The mouth just goes and who cares if its based on reality or not. Sanderson I cut some slack since he's not a "professional" broadcaster like Edwards is supposed to be.

Edwards isn't a bad play by play guy, he just tilts the obnoxious meter when the gloves are dropped.

The funniest homer announcer is former North Stars coach Glen Somnor on the Gophers hockey radio broadcasts. Every Gopher penalty is an obscene inhumanity.
