Pominville didn't have the puck when he was hit. Actually he never had control of the puck. He barely touched the puck with his stick and tried to kick the puck but wasn't able, and the moment he was hit his linemate had the puck on the stick.

Could be EX teammate Ex captain syndrome for the first game or two , Richards has cut all ties with that hit , from now on he will have a target on him every time they play the against him ..

I saw that, but he didn't do anything. Penner gave Rinaldo no choice.

Maybe they were ok with a clean hit, I have nothing wrong with that. Maybe Simmonds felt it was clean and just wanted warned Mike.

That's understandable.. I guess I was hoping for Simmer to push the issue a bit. I also bet how penalty happy the refs were, might of had something to do with it.

That hit by Beauch is everything I love about playing defense. Especially if your defensive partner helps make dropping the hammer even easier as Cam Fowler did on this instance with the poke check that forced Pavelski to look down for the puck.

Great defense, and a solid hit from Francois.

They made that mandatory for 2 reasons. One was for pucks and sticks going through and injuring spectators. The second was for player safety. I recall a player from the Chicago Wolves taking a trip to the IR a handful of years ago because his arm got caught in one of the holes whole he was on the move.
One of the Ducks players broke his arm in one a couple of years ago, I want to say it was Drew Miller, but I could be wrong.

You have to give Subban credit for going out there and stiring sh!t up. He really is like a black, straight Sean Avery. He's thrown some pretty good hits.
