Hate to say it,but Neil blasting Boychuk was hit of the year imo. I still like Marchands low bribge hit on the Canuck,even though it got him 5 games.

Kronwall had a couple hits better then some of those. His hit on Voracek or Hemsky. However I have Neil on Boychuk as number 1

Neil's hit on Boychuck gets my vote for hit of the year.

As far as "Hitter of the Year", Zac Rinaldo.

He laid out some huge hits this year.
Some examples are his hits on Doughty, Ericsson, Volchenkov, Galliardi, Parenteau, Kopecky, Ennis, Larsson, etc....

Neil on Boychuck. Just filthy. Sized him up, set his target and finished/ followed through.

The hit wasn't overly spectacular, but I think it was one of the best hits because St.Louis is very difficult to hit and he was going full speed being aware of Emelin's presence, and still Emelin was able to lay a perfect hip-check on him. Show's the ability Emelin has.
