Rangers should take this one in 6. If Hank continues to play great and the big guns show up, it shouldn't be a problem.

These two teams seem to always meet in some round of the playoffs every year. So weird.

For me this comes down to the goaltending. Ovechkin alone has been a monster again and the Rangers offense has been good too. Add in that both defense's have been OK. The other person I would keep my eye on is Mike Green. Looks like the Mike Green of old. Give that I'll always side with the better goalie and Henrik is just that.

Rangers in 6.

Ovechkin absolutely has to keep up his torrid pace for the Caps to have a shot IMO. The Rangers have to much size and skill up front and great goaltending, so while the Capitals are hot right now....I think the underachieving Rangers take this one in 7.

Rangers in 7. Caps have been hot over the last little while but the Rangers are more well rounded and have a big advantage in goal.

Seems like I have been here before. The best part of the series as far as the physical play should be watching the teams target the others defense. Last year there were targets for each team and they were Girardi and McDonagh for the Rangers and Greene and Hamrlik fort the Caps. Those guys were punished often and I expect much of the same.

Could see a couple scraps. Asham should play every game and I expect Newbury or Haley until Clowe comes back. Probably Newbury of course. Dorsett should be ready it's just a matter of Torts throwing him in to a new team for the playoffs. In their big game against Winnipeg the Caps played Erskin, Volpatti, Hendricks, and Olesky so they should all be in. Could be interesting if we get a blowout. Volpatti - Asham would be a good scrap.

Rangers win in 5. Ovehkin scores a goal in game 2 and as Greene comes over to celebrate with him Ovechkin pushes him away so that he has room to do a "look at me" dance. Greene sprains his knee on the surprise push from a teammate.

The Caps are peaking at the right time. Probably the team that no one wants to face. Caps in 6 only because Lunquist will be tough to beat.

Completely disagree, and I think it's the exact opposite.

Rangers in 5.

Caps are playing tough. I see Hank stepping up, Nash having a great series, and Richards staying hot. Ovie is on fire though, they just need to hit him and get him off his game. Cally will be all over him.

Rangers in 6, Ovechkin shows up for maybe 3 or 4 minutes.

There is no team I'd want to play less than the Rangers right now.
