Shawinigan at Gatineau 3/22/08

Tommy Tremblay levels Ryan Mior that sparks a brawl towards the end of the third period.

I can't believe Mior got up from that. Lots of people getting 3rd man in, especially during the Donais/Machabee fight that was pretty good for the amount of time they got in it for.

The penalties were weird, Machabee didn't even get a fighting major, just a game misconduct. almost like the refs didn't know who was fighting and who was jumping in.

Baca did pretty well against Stacey because he hasn't faired too well in the few fights he's had.

Needless to say, Tommy Tremblay's play-offs I think are over.

It's actually Smith with Donais. Machabee and Laporte get to Tremblay first, but Machabee doesn't actually incur his penalty 'til he intervenes in Boyer-Bourque. It's a little clearer on my footage (though not great since it happened in the far end). You can see that Tremblay actually accidentally headbutts the linesman while in the midst of losing his $%&#.

Agreed. Baca beat Steven Delisle pretty handily in one of the earlier Shawinigan-gets-killed-on-the-scoreboard-so-they-goon-it-up games in Hull, but Delisle isn't much of a fighter himself (his trouncing of JS Berube in November was anomalous).

So if Smith/Donais was the second fight, the spare majors are Bourque/Laporte.

So better to flip the logs to show it as??:

Baca/Stacey
Donais/Smith
Bourque-Leblanc/Laporte

And what's with all the 'Piques going bleach blonde!! Have they all done that?

Not that this necessarily makes sense in terms of the way the penalties were called, but I've watched the two vids a few times and it's:

Laporte+Machabee/Tremblay (no fighting major awarded)
Baca/Stacey
Donais/Smith
Bourque-Leblanc/Boyer+Machabee

They should've either given Tremblay a fighting major or not given one to Laporte. It's not clear he even throws a punch.

It's "tradition" in Hull (the last couple of years at least). Some of them are a pretty hideous orange. I heard the Ottawa 67s have black, white or red mohawks. I'd love to see them cut a strip down the top of their helmets and where the 'hawks sticking through

I agree! Good to see that Mior is not seriously hurt.. Bacca showed some good fighting skills against Stacey
