I don't know for sure, but he might be in someone's camp, which is why he's not on the opening day roster?

No Brett Gallant will not be in the QMJHL, he will be with Summerside of the MJAHL.

These are the final rosters. There may be a couple more cuts on some teams once players come back from pro camps.

I don't know the reasoning behind it. Could be he wants more ice time or maybe just wants to play closer to home.

Do Gallant's rights belong to anyone? Can he be called up during the season?

Lewiston traded for him so they own his rights. He wont be called up, it's not like he was cut more that there was a better option somewhere else for him.

Summerside will be good this year, Lewiston likely fill finish bottom of their division.

Gallant has a very poor skillset, the only things he brings is fighting.
