I was at the game for this one. Duke also scored his first goal of the season and had an assist for the Gordie Howe Hatrick. Veilleux ran Fucale who was out playing the puck. Duke sees this and drops the gloves. Veilleux received a match penalty for kicking Duke in the leg after the fight. Veilleux also got a match penalty on the play and Duke got the instigator.
The Wildcats unravelled after the incident, taking several straight undisciplined penalties. The Wildcats were winning the game 3-1 half way thru the game and Halifax came back and end up blowing them out 7-3 scoring 4 pp goals.
There was some more rough stuff with just under 4 minutes to go in the 3rd. Moncton's goalie Alex Dubeau almost got into a fight and was tossed from the game. He went after Ciampini throwing some blocker punches after Ciampini and him get tied up and a melee ensues. Jonathan Racine, MacKenzie Weegar, and Stefan Fournier were also involved in the melee, there might of been another Wildcat involved but i could see who it was. But the linesman keep things from really blowing up. |
