Moncton confirms two players have swine flu, several others have similar symptoms

Moncton NB - This evening, Wildcats team doctor Martin Robichaud confirmed that two players have tested positive with the H1N1 virus.

Dr Robichaud has also confirmed that fifteen additional players and team staff are suffering from similar symptoms.

As a result, the team has been advised that in the best interest of all concerned that all infected players and staff will be quarantined for approximately seven days. Current symptoms have not caused anyone to be hospitalized.

The Wildcats have contacted all players' parents, billets and those within the organization on the situation and have assured all, that appropriate measures have been put into place to provide the best care and support possible to all concerned.

The QMJHL is aware of the situation and will issue a statement tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11am AST. The Wildcats will hold a media briefing at 11:30am tomorrow at the Coliseum.
