Acadie-Bathurst Trades Captain Jeremie Blain To Victoriaville

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan announces they have traded defenseman Jérémie Blain (1992-03-19) to the Victoriaville Tigres. Jérémie Blain was originally drafted by those same Tigres in 2008 before being traded to the Titan. In 29 games this season he scored 6 goals and had 18 assists for a total of 24 points.

In exchange for Blain, the Tigres is sending defenseman François Godin (1993-02-09), along with their 1st round pick in 2013, a second round pick in 2013 and a 3rd round pick in 2012. In 34 games this season, François Godin scored 2 goals and assisted on another 8 for a total of 10 points.

Titan General Manager and owner, Mr.Léo-Guy Morrissette says: « We traded a player that gave us 3 good years of hockey, he was considered one of the best defenseman in the league but this was the price we had to pay to get what we were looking for. This trade is very beneficial to our team; we obtained a very promising defenseman that was sought after by many teams, we also received 3 high draft picks.
