Steelheads Acquire Clint Windsor from Spirit and Dylan Smoskowitz from Colts

Mississauga, ON – In a busy day of trades, The Mississauga Steelheads have acquired goaltender Clint Windsor from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a 5th round pick in 2014, and the rights to right winger Kevin Irwin, along with centre Dylan Smoskowitz from the Barrie Colts in exchange for an 8th round pick in 2014, and the rights to Cody Boyd.

Steelheads Head Coach and General Manager James Boyd had this to say about the recent acquisition: “Clint is an experienced goaltender in our league, who adds valuable depth at the goaltending position.” Windsor, the Hamilton, Ontario native, split time with the Barrie Colts and the Saginaw Spirit last season, posting 15 wins in 27 games.

Smoskowitz is entering his third season in the OHL, and put up 31 points in 67 games in the 2010-2011 season. The Richmond Hill, Ontario native was a member of the GTHL’s Mississauga Chargers and posted 29 goals and 26 assists in 55 games, adding 44 penalty minutes.
