The Chiefs won't have to make any moves just yet. With Letts on long term IR, they can stand pat with the three overagers they currently have. However once Letts is healthy and ready to go a move will have to be made.

I would be suprised to see the Giants get rid of Funk or Kytnar, espesially. All 4 20 year olds are pretty decent!

Toigo has to go. He's the least skilled of the four.

Tigers got a real mess on there hands. A good problem to have though, but some decent guys will get thier walking papers with too damn many overagers. Iam making a bold prediction that the tigers win the league this year.

For those of you wondering, Medicine Hat and Portland have an extra extension before cutting down. Portland has another week and a half or so and Medicine Hat has until Alex Theriau returns from the IR. Then they'll have 14 days to make a final decision.

Correct.

I doubt it. Edmonton doesn't need goaltending help. I would expect Edmonton to either find another 20 year old elsewhere, or acquire a 20 year old at the deadline from a team not poised for a long playoff run.

That said, I can see a few teams considering upgrading their overage position by claiming Lanigan via waivers or making a trade with Portland. Vancouver could be one of those teams.

Also during the broadcast tonight it was mentioned that Kale Kessy received a 25 game try-out with the Portland Pirates. So depending on what happens there, Medicine Hat may not have to make any roster moves.

According to Alan Caldwell the Everett Silvertips have added Caleb Belter to their roster. Also the Portland Winterhawks have added Cody Thiel to the mix (both claimed off waivers I presume). I'm a little confused as to why considering neither player is overage material at this level, IMO.

Lukas Walter will also be in Portland Winterhawks camp. I can't see him making the team but maybe he'll have a go with Mahon?
