Med Hat vs Saskatoon

I wonder if a Tiger will ask Dietz to answer the bell for the slash on Etem?

Nope. Barely a whisper spoke between teams. Zero emotion. Don't understand it.

The playoffs this year have been fairly tame so far. Well I shouldn't say that, there have been quite a few dirty hits and chippy play but very little fighting has come out of that.

I got to witness some of that by your Giants last night. Gallagher ran Williams twice and just a lot of chirping and after the whistle stuff. I am really surprised we didn't do much of that and that the refs just let it happen continuously. I can understand running Williams, if I were the Giants, I would want Engel back in net too.

No different than Gow running Morrison the game before. In fact that was much worse as the game was already decided. At least when Gallagher ran Williams the game wasn't out of reach and he was trying to score a goal. Either way Gallagher is clearly frustrated as he's received a number of goalie interference penalties over the last several weeks. Many of which were not deserved. I think now he figures if he's going to get called he might as well get his money's worth.

Either way goalies are protected way too much. It's ridiculous how so many hockey people feel the need to treat them as if they were made out of glass.

For the record, I'm not trying to say Gallagher didn't deserve a penalty in that particular incident. He sure as hell did. I'm just trying to shed some light on why he likely did something like that.

He got a good piece of Morrison too. Pretty much hit him dead on. Both guys ended up in the net.

Either way I wish there were more fighting and less complaining and suspensions in the playoffs but it just isn't the reality this day and age. Players can pretty much do whatever they want. They might get a penalty or face a suspension but there is little to no accountability.

It is sad. Everybody just becomes a pest in the playoffs and tries to goad the other team into a penalty. Your boys were really trying to get Kramer to do something stupid. Good thing is Kramer is not a dumb goon. He knows the role and the stakes.

When? During the games in Spokane? If so I must have missed that. I thought those games were rather tame for the most part. I've seen Kramer and Wes do a lot of talking during the pregame warm ups but that's about all. Other than the occasional harmless scrum here and there.

Every stoppage with Kramer on the ice there was always at least one Giant yapping at him. Gallagher was the king of yapping the 2 games in Spoke though.

Gallagher never stops yapping. Just like he never stops moving or skating for that matter. He's constantly doing something. Usually something good for the team he plays for. But occasionally he does too much talking and dirty work for his own good, IMO. I appreciate his compete level but sometimes he makes things a lot harder for himself by making himself a target.
