Panthers Sign David Ling

With nearly a hundred NHL games and 533 AHL matches, plus spells in the top flights of Russia and Scandanavia on his resume, forward David Ling will ice with the GMB Nottingham Panthers in season 2012-13.

He was a seventh round draft pick of the Quebec Nordiques in 1993 and went on to “play in the show” for Montreal and Columbus.

The 37-year-old won the Italian Super Cup with his team last year and has had spells with Jokerit, Amur Khabarovsk, Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Moscow. He’s played in the IHL at Indiana, Kansas and Utah and in the AHL at St John, Frederickton, Syracuse, Toronto and Providence.
