Cardiff Gives Devin DiDiomete His Release; Sign Jesse Gimblett

There have been two movements on the Devils roster this week.

Following the game on Saturday the Devils received the release request of #24 Devin Didiomete, with the player citing personal reasons. This has been granted with immediate effect.

The Devils would like to thank Devin for his time at the Club and wish him well with his future endeavours as he returns home to North America.

However as mentioned by Devils CEO Paul Ragan in recent comments, the option to strengthen the squad was being considered. That decision had already been taken, so it is with great pleasure we announce the signing of power forward Jesse Gimblett.

27 Years old, the 6’3, 215lbs native of Newtonville, Ontario finished as 4th highest scorer (37 in 59 games) for Bakersfield Condors in the ECHL last season, tied 3rd for goals (17, including 4 on the powerplay) and was 3rd highest penalty taker (138PiMs) including 12 fighting majors.

Jesse spent the start of this year returning to school to complete his degree in the University of Alberta (U of A) while acting as assistant coach of the ice hockey team, the Golden Bears.
