Braehead Clan Sign Drew Miller

Braehead Clan are delighted to announce that NHL star and Detroit Red Wings player Drew Miller has signed for the Clan. Miller was also part of the Anaheim Ducks team who won the Stanley Cup in season 2007/2008.

The Stanley Cup winner and Detroit Red Wings player is 6’2, 180lbs and hails from Dover, New Jersey. The left wing American star will join the Clan on Wednesday 10th Oct and will play in this weekends Homecoming games against Dundee Stars and Edinburgh Capitals. Miller will wear the #20 whilst playing for the Clan.

Miller was drafted in the sixth round, 186th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut on April 19, 2007, playing with the Anaheim Ducks against the Minnesota Wild. He is the younger brother of Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller.

Miller has played 53 games with the Anaheim Ducks, 14 games with Tampa Bay Lighting and 213 games with the Detroit Red Wings since signing for them in the 2009/2010 season. Miller has played in 163 AHL games in which he scored 55 goals with 55 assists, giving him 110pts. In his 280 NHL appearances he has so far scored 40 goals and 37 assists for 77pts.
