Remi Royer

The guy could chuck the knucks like few could. And a 2nd round draft pick no less.

IHL Mel Angelstad vs. Royer - YouTube

KO

Remme Royer vs Trevor Halverson - Halverson KO'd...

Wow, thats a name I haven't seen in a long time. What was his deal? He only had one shot in the NHL and never came back, he wasn't that bad I didn't think.

Good topic-I think that second fight is Gaetan Royer. Great fight though.

I really only remember remi for his time with the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the IHL. he had a few fights that preseason with the Chicago Blackhawks and smoked Tervor halverson with a beauty of a left. He had some good fights with the jacks that year against doull, Wood, Vodrazka etc. I thought he was a top-10 candidate in the IHL that year. Good left hand.

I remember that Preseason game with the Hawks... I think there were a number of fights from it too.
Ya, after the KO I thought he had a decent shot to stick in the NHL. That Hawks team that year had Simpson, Brown, Jannsens, Probert, Vandenbussche, Manson, Zmolek, Nasserdine*.... a very tough bunch.

Royer now is LNAH's best defenseman.

He deserved more ice-time with the Hawks. I'm sure he could've done something good in the NHL.
