The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce that goaltender Mike Brown has signed an agreement with the team for the 2012-13 hockey season.
Brown, a native of Baldwinsville, New York, joins the Whalers after spending the last two seasons in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Last season while with Louisiana and Fayetteville, Brown was named the SPHL Player of the Week three times and led the league in games, minutes played, and saves. He finished 3rd in the SPHL in wins with 18. Drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 5th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Brown has played 13 games in the American Hockey League (Providence Bruins) and registered a 6-2-0 record.
