Whalers sign 2 more fighters

Quote:
Danbury 10/15/10 Desmarais, Joshua (LW) signed tryout agreement
Danbury 10/15/10 Fulton, Corey (LW) signed tryout agreement
Check out this Fulton guy. He had 323 PIMs in just 49 games in his last season in the OPJHL. The only vid of him seems to have been removed from youtube.

Joshua Desmarais is a much bigger guy than Fulton but not nearly as many PIMs. He played parts of 2 seasons in the QMJHL and spent last year in the BCHL. Can't find any videos of him either though.

Although these are just PTO's, I'm glad Danbury beefed up more.

Danbury Finally Getting it?

It sounds like Danbury is finally figuring out what they need to do to sell tickets and match Brooklyn`s lineup. Good for them!

Desmarais doesnt like to do it and it wouldnt be his primary role, but he is a very strong kid 6`0, 230lbs that can go pretty good and throw the body.

Corey Fulton was a top 3 tough guy in the OPJHL along with Rory Smith and Steve Harding a few years ago. If he`s anything close to Rory Smith today, Danbury fans will be in for a treat. He`s 6`2 and was listed at only 190lbs a few years back, but has probably beefed up since then. He was the player involved in the fight with Don Sanderson in an Ontario Senior league game December 2008.Sanderson ended up tragically passing away.

Good to see Danbury giving a couple young hungry kids a chance to see what they can do. I dont think they have any preseason games slated, so opening weekend at home vs. Brooklyn should be fun for the fans.

Danbury 10/15/10 Boag-Munro, Donivan (RW) signed tryout agreement
Also yesterday, the Whalers signed a dude named Donivan Boag-Munro. After googling his name, it appears he is a lacrosse enforcer. Odd, but interesting.
Good to see 3 tough guy signings in 1 day for the Whalers, hopefully 1 or 2 of them stick.

Nice to see Danbury finally stepping up and bringing in some tougher kids for a look. They seem to say "signed to a tryout agreement" so that's no gaurantee they'll make the team but at least team brass is LOOKING and KNOWS they're going to need some toughness out there. Looking ahead to opening weekend however Brooklyn released Michelson so that may even things out a bit more if these kids Danbury brought in can stick.

I saw Desormeaux's name pop up with the Saint-Pamphile Forestiers of the LHBBF but have not seen Raby's name since 07/08 with St.Jean.

yep Desormeaux playing in that team with new Warrior Jean Rene Forget which bring more reason or hope to believe big 44 is right behind him..

also just noticed Bradley Denis on that roster he wouldnt be a bad pickup either if he is the same one that played for verdun dragons and Soulanges Pirates.. also see jonathan Natel.. not sure where these guys live but if close that would good pickups to

Danbury Intra Squad Game

Does anybody know how the exibition game went last night? Where their any fights? Who scored etc. Does this team really have the quality of players to play legitimate pro or is it just rougher junior? I'm really hoping this league can make it through but we don't seem to see much in the Danbury paper or radio news. An up-date on everything would be cool.

I would love to see pro MMA fighter and native american Mohawk from Six Nations get signed in this league . Chuck THE GRAND RIVER BAD BOY Monture 6'1 240LBS world class grappler and Pro MMA fighter who also has over 100 fights in Jr and Sr hockey and lacrosse in southern Ontario. The players in the FHL would have there hands full.

I dont know him personally i heard through a guy that played on his team. Chuck also played 6 preason hockey games in the Madison Monsters they are foled now UHL i guess he had 5 fights in those 6 games. I guess they dicked him around and he ended up getting more ice time and played SR AAA in his hometown. I guess he can throw both hands equal power and he has crazy cardio and is extremely strong. The guy said he remebers him fighting a guy and chuck punched his helmet so hard the guy got a deep compression cut. The warriors should try getting him right away.
