Privateers Sign Carter Trevisani
Italian Olympic team member Carter Trevisani has agreed to terms with the 1000 Islands Privateers. Trevisani brings over a decade of professional experience to Watertown, which includes playing at a high level in Italian leagues and two years in the Federal Hockey League.
The six foot one defensive power played 22 games for Italy, including the 2006 Olympics. That, along with Trevisani's years playing overseas, are reasons why head coach Paul Kelly is excited to welcome Trevisani to the team. Kelly expects Trevisani, winner of both the Italy Championship and the FHL Commissioner's Cup, to be a leader on and off the ice for the Privateers.
The Privateers are also excited to announce that Carthage Area Hospital will be the official healthcare provider of the The Privateers. Carthage Area Hospital physicians will serve as team physicians. All healthcare needs of the entire team will be serviced by Carthage Area Hospital.
"In meeting with the leadership of Carthage Area Hospital, it was clear that their extensive network of providers and services would be a great fit with the Privateers," Privateers owner Nicole Kirnan said, " "We are looking forward to a fantastic partnership." Executive Director of Carthage Area Hospital Natalie Burnham says she and the hospitalare thrilled with this new partnership. "All of us at Carthage Area Hospital are very excited about the opportunity to partner with the 1000 Islands Privateers. We are grateful for the partnership and looking forward to an incredible season," Burnham said.
