Playing against the defending champion Outlaws in Williamsport on the opening night of the season was going to be a real test right off the bat. Added to that, the game was being played outdoors. Alot of people during the pre-season had ourselves and Williamsport as the two best teams in the league on paper. Thats all it is though--paper and thats why the games are played on the ice. We came away with a gutsy road win and had some outstanding goaltending from Gerry Festa. If we are going to win a championship this season then great goaltending is going to be key. Having an experienced goalie between the pipes like Gerry gives us a chance to win everynight. Without our affiliation with Fort Wayne (I know. I know. Some of you are still upset by this) then Gerry would probably not be in a Demonz (or should I say Storm..lol) uniform this season. Just on a sidenote about the jerseys, unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control, Harrow could not get the jerseys to us on time and we are hoping to have them this week. I have seen the sketches of them and you will be impressed when they finally arrive.
