Dayton Signs Brayden Metz
The Dayton Devils Professional Hockey team, proud members of the Federal Hockey League (FHL), are proud to announce the signing of center Brayden Metz.
"I am ecstatic to capture the signature of Brayden Metz. He brings everything to the table. He is a great all around player that provides scoring and grit to our lineup. He is a central piece to the puzzle of us winning a Federal Hockey League championship," stated Devils Head Coach Marc LeFebvre. Metz, 22 a native of Regina, Sask., began his professional career last season with the Louisiana Icegators of the SPHL scoring 23 goals and adding 33 assists for 56 points in 56 games played. He was also named to the SPHL All-Rookie team. He will also be attending training camp with the Fort Wayne Komets in the ECHL. Prior to turning professional, Metz split time between one of Canadas top junior leagues, the WHL and tier 2 SJHL. On signing with the Devils, Metz stated "I am excited to get the opportunity fto play for a new team in the Federal Hockey League and cannot wait to get into the swing of things again."
