Dashers Announce Affiliation with Blaze
The Danville Dashers, proud members of the Federal Hockey League, are pleased to announce an affiliation with the Bloomington Blaze of the Central Hockey League.
The announcement is made jointly by the Blaze’s President and General Manager David Holt and the Dashers Head Coach and General Manager, Matt McIlvane. The announcement is a big step in the unity of professional hockey in Central Illinois. The two teams are a mere 80 miles apart and proximity provides a great opportunity both for call-ups and cross promotional marketing. Holt released the following statement: "With the teams just a relatively short distance apart, this affiliation will certainly help both clubs on and off the ice. Matt and the Dashers are doing a solid job of building professional hockey in their part of the region, and we're happy to partner with them." “The Danville Dashers organization is very excited to affiliate ourselves with a quality organization like the Bloomington Blaze. My goal is always to give players the best opportunity to grow their careers and this affiliation is a big step for the Dasher’s players. I look forward to continue working closely with David Holt and the entire Blaze organization,” stated Dashers Head Coach and GM Matt McIlvane. The Danville Dashers are in preparation for their second season in the Federal Hockey League. Season tickets and partnership opportunities are now available!
