Danbury signs Anthony Pisano

The Danbury Whalers have announced that 6'6, 250 pound, Defensman Anthony Pisano has signed an agreement with the team for the 2012-13 hockey season. Pisano will be entering his 2nd season with the Danbury Whalers.

Pisano played 10 games for the Whalers last season registering 1 goal and 62 penalty minutes. Anthony's year also included 2 games in the ECHL with Trenton, 10 games with Vermont in the FHL, and 19 games with the Fayetteville FireAntz of the SPHL.

In his 10 games with the Whalers, Danbury had a record of 7-3. Pisano had 4 games of over 10 PIM's including 19 on 1/7/12 vs. Delaware. Overall in the FHL, Pisano's FHL numbers were 20 games 3 goals, 4 assists, and 96 PIMs.

Pisano commented, "Danbury is an amazing city. I am very excited to back in Danbury and give the fans all that they want to see.

I'd like to see em get Guy, Clark and Geonnetti back, all three went in the expansion draft but aren't on their respective camp rosters.

However, was Pisano cut by Fayettville? I haven't read that he was so both he and Fulton may be still headed south while Danbury maintains the FHL rights.
