ST. LOUIS –
St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the club has assigned defenseman
Matt Walker to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the
Peoria Rivermen for a conditioning stint.
Walker, 26, has skated in 19 games for the Blues this season, collecting 40 penalty minutes. The Beaverlodge, Alberta native appeared in his 100th career NHL game on November, 12 against the
Edmonton Oilers.
Walker was originally St. Louis’ third round selection, 83rd overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
