Serious question:
How long will these "new" rules hold up?
Just by looking at the horrible T.V. ratings and the many empty seats in places like Detroit, you can tell the crappy product is starting to show results in our favor.
I assume we'll never go back to the obstruction days, but if things keep up the way they're going, maybe the rules will be amended or scaled back a bit.
I say it'll be about 3-5 seasons before things change for the positive. This'll probably be around the time Gary Bettman resigns or is replaced.
